Philip joined Bridgestone directly after graduating in Mechanical Engineering at Delft University. He spent five years at the technical center in Rome in tire development for automotive manufacturers, then moved to the Formula One department in London for five years, before returning to the Technical Center in Rome as part of the tire research management. During the last three years he has moved into a strategic role and is now part of a team that advises on future technology strategy.
