Presented by we.CONECT, the prestigious CiMi.CON Award exclusively recognizes, celebrates and honors exceptional competitive intelligence analysis projects in the following categories:

  1. Proof of concept & implementation of new technology:  Apply if you have successfully implemented (or developed in-house) an innovative tool that disrupted the way you operate and deliver value to your organization
  2. Insight to action: Apply if your intelligence unit has delivered, or has been delivering results that drive tangible value in your organization. For example, how your insights have led to company action that gained profit/ prevented loss/ saved expense within the company
  3. Successful stakeholder collaboration: Apply if your team is effectively and systematically building an internal insights network and collaborates with stakeholders to get first-hand insights.

Official Award Ceremony 2019:
We are inviting all corporate intelligence minds to send in their competitive and market intelligence concepts for a unique chance to showcase their outstanding achievements. Based on all entries, the jury will select 3 finalists in each category, who will get the exclusive chance to present their project during the official award ceremony and networking dinner in Berlin. All winners will not only receive a certificate and a trophy but we.CONECT will also donate € 1,000 to a charity on their behalf.

CiMi.CON Award Winner 2018

Three companies made it into the final, after having submitted the most convincing MI & competitive intelligence analysis projects, and briefly pitched the audience, before being awarded an exclusive trophy and certificate.

Community-Award decided by live voting Winner of the CiMi.CON Evolution Community award 2018 was Ericsson with their project ‘Emerging Data – MI Analytics’. Jonathan Ferland and his team set up a text analytics programme that looks at over 10 years of publications from over 50 companies that are of interest to Ericsson. Using this data they are able to identify how these competitors are discussed by the different target groups. The identified focus topics and keywords are the basis of future product innovations.

Jury Award for best CI Integration project AGFA Healthcare convinced the Jury with their ‘Agfa healthcare journey towards competitive intelligence’ project. They successfully demonstrated how to build an efficient information analysis system on a limited CI budget to optimize information search, gathering & analysis. This data is used to understand the changing competitive landscape and the ongoing pharma industry transformation.

Supporting a good cause is at the very heart of our ambitions. Throughout the years we have carefully researched and selected charities that are close to our heart and deserve special recognition.

Charity Partner 2018

The German children’s cancer association is a not for profit organization, that was founded 1995 by parents with cancer diagnosed children. The society supports these children and their families with competent counsel, financial support if needed and projects such as the “Waldpiraten-Camp” to ensure a complete recovery. The children’s cancer association also sponsors patient-orientated researches with the main goal to improve healing chances, enhance secure treatment methods and find new therapeutic approaches.

Terms and Conditions

  • All details must be submitted in English.
  • A company may nominate more than one project for the award.
  • The jury will only consider applicants who have completed the award application with all required details and will nominate projects for each category.
  • Solution providers and consultants are not admitted for the application. However, they may encourage their customers to apply or suggest possible candidates.
  • All nominees will be asked to prepare a 2 minute-long video or presentation showcasing their project. Style, format, and content can be based on individual/corporate design. The video/presentation will be shown live on stage at the award ceremony on July 2, 2019.
  • We reserve the right to publish your project under your name and company name respectively. It is therefore advisable to ensure that all submissions are fully approved by your organization before applying.
  • Besides being used for evaluation purposes, the information provided by applicants may be published in further channels (website/portal/social media) by we.CONECT.
  • No competitive intelligence analysis applications for the CiMi.CON Award 2018 will be considered after the deadline of May 3, 2019.
